Lublin – a city of inspiration.

If you want to break away from your work and the daily routine you have to visit Lublin!

In Lublin there is always something that can surprise you. It is like that because it is a student’s city.

You can find there four types of Universities including very famous Catholic University of Lublin where Jan Paul II has studied. There is a lot of different organizations in which students develop their passion and interests. But the most impressing is that amazing atmosphere of the city. Even if there is a lot of people and as it used to be in the big cities everyone is in a hurry but in Lublin you won’t notice that. Every day you can take part in various set of events. In 2016 the city of Lublin was one of the candidates for the tile of the European Capital of Culture.

The most popular event in the city is Arts’ master festival (“Festiwal Sztukmistrzów” in polish language) which takes place in June. In May the inhabitants participate in the event which is called “Days of student’s culture”. During that event there is a lot of one man shows and concerts of the most popular groups in Poland and the foreign artists. What’s more all those concerts are for free!!

But Lublin it’s not just concerts and cultural events, you can also sink into the vivid landscape of the city by visiting an old Town square in which there is a huge castle with a courtyard. If you want to take a rest from the noise of the city you can go to the Saxon’s garden in which you can sit by the fountain, admiring the real nature and the most amazing animals such as peacocks.

If you want to see how the people were living in the in the eighteenth century you can go to the Museum of Lublin’s village (“Muzeum wsi Lubelskiej” in polish language) which is one of the biggest open air museum in Poland! Recently this museum has turned into a background for the folk music video clips.
The authorities of the city are trying permanently to create new cultural centers such as “Centrum spotkania kultur” which was opened in 2016 and now you can see there opera concerts, exhibitions, and spectacles with famous actors.
This is just a small part of things which I could tell you about Lublin, but I let you discover it on your own so you could have your own unforgettable memories.

Enjoy your stay in Lublin!
