Pearl of Northern Italy

Hi there!

Today I want to show you the most romantic place in Northern Italy, as you may guess I’m thinking about beautiful Venice :)

Venice has more than 270.000 inhabitants and it`s built on an archipelago of 117 islands formed by 177 canals in a shallow lagoon, connected by 409 bridges that`s why the main mean of transport is boats called Gondola.

When you are visiting Venice you obviously have to start from the “Piazza San Marco” known in English as St Mark’s square. It is the heart of the city where you can find the Basilica di San Marco, the cathedral of Venice which is the most famous of the city’s churches and one of the best known examples of Byzantine architecture.

Next you can go to the Doge’s Palace. It was built in Venetian Gothic style. The monumental entrance to the palace known as “Porta della Carta” was created by Giovanni and Bartolomeo Bon in 1438.

Another special place in the city is the Ponte di Rialto known as Rialto Bridge. It is one of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice. It was built in 1591. Maybe you won’t believe but that that was the only bridge until 1854 that allowed to cross the Grand Canal by foot!

There is more magnificent places and every next alley is different and more magical. When you are walking them it could be the greatest time of your live due to many fabulous places around every corner. Everyone will find there something entertaining - to prove all of that, I post a video with some great shots in Venice, I hope you`ll love it.

How to get free accommodation during traveling?

Hi there,

Today I want to show you how you can spend your vacations without spending money for accommodation.

I will start by COUCHSURFING. There is a site where the people all around the world offer you a free accommodation in their apartment. You have to only create your own profile, write some information about yourself. A good profile is essential because it is the only way to know something about you. When you are looking your host on this site you can also read the comments with the recommendations of the other guests who had been staying there. The hosts are giving their comments about their guests as well. But you have to remember that it’s good to talk with your host before you get there to make sure that you feel good in his presence and to know him better. This way of the accommodation requires lot of trust from both sides.

The second one is a WORK IN THE HOSTELS. This way of accommodations becomes more and more popular recently. You just have to find a hostel in a place where you want to go and offer your help for a place to stay. Maybe it won’t be a work of your dreams, but I am sure that you can learn a lot and what’s more you can get know a lot of interesting people. You have to know that often you have to work only few hours a day and your work is cleaning the rooms, staying at the reception of the hostel or doing small chores around the hostel. It happens that the owners can propose you some extra cash for your work. During the days off you can do everything you want to, for example you can plan some interesting trips.

You can also work as a VOLUNTEER IN THE ORGANIZATION. That is my preferred one because it helps to get unforgettable memories and lots of experience. Being a volunteer often allows you to get known better yourself and your weaknesses. This type of travelling is more safety because your travel is organized by the people who are running a foundation and they have to be inspected during your stay. In brief, it means that they have to obey the law under which you became a volunteer.

You can also profit of the program called HOMEEXCHANGE. As the name says you give a person your house to live in for some period of time and in exchange that person gives you its own house. I think that could be the great adventure to live in somebody’s house for example during vacation.

And now imagine that in a minute for a short period of time you can become a completely different person in the other part of the globe.
How it sounds? :)
